What are the Necessary Documents to bring when we visit SEF to renew Residence Permit or Visa?

 

 

In general, there are two different cases to renew our Residence Permit or Visa.

 

On one hand, we need to prepare the following documents if we have a Work Contract (Contrato de trabalho ou documento emitido nos termos da al. a) do nº 2 do artº 88º da Lei 23/2007 de 04 de Julho) and work in a company as an employee.

 

Título de Residência (Residence Card or Permit)

Junta de Freguesia (It can be Proof of our Home Address)

Extrato de Renumerações (Remuneration Statement)

Work Contract (Contrato de trabalho ou documento emitido nos termos da al. a) do nº 2 do artº 88º da Lei 23/2007 de 04 de Julho)

Declaração de Trabalho (Work Declaration)

Recibo de Vencimento (Salary Sheets from the Company where we work)

ACT Declaração (ACT Declaration)

Comprovativo de IRS e Liquidação de IRS (IRS Proof & Liquidity)

On the other hand, we need to prepare the following documents if we have a business in our name.

 

Título de Residência (Residence Card or Permit)

Junta de Freguesia (It can be Proof of our Home Address)

Início de Actividade (Business Activity)

Certidão de Dívida E Não Dívida às Finanças (Non-Debt certificate to Finance)

Declaração da Situação Contributiva (Statement of Contributory Situation)

Balance Sheet (O Balancete)

Totais Mensais Faturas (Total Monthly Invoices)

Contrato de Arrendamento (Lease Agreement)

Comprovativo de IRS e Liquidação de IRS (IRS Proof & Liquidity)

 

All of the documents should be in Portuguese language.

The foreign documents should be translated into Portuguese and attested from Foreign Affairs.
